Innovate Split 2026 was a good place to show where Ice Rebus is heading next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two days at Technology Park Split, our team presented the company from several different angles: the physical machine, the technology behind it, the business model around it, and the intelligence generated across a growing international network. Ice Rebus was present on site throughout the conference, with our team and one of our machines available for visitors to see up close. But the bigger story happened on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Machine Builder to Intelligence Company<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our Founder & CEO, Marsel \u010culjak<\/strong>, presented \u201cFrom Machine Builder to Intelligence Company\u201d<\/strong> on the main stage. The talk focused on a change that has been happening inside Ice Rebus over time. For years, the obvious product was the machine itself. Today, the machine is only one part of a much larger system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ice Rebus designs and manufactures its own machines, develops the software that connects them, monitors operations remotely, and learns continuously from machines working in real locations across more than 50 countries. That means every connected machine contributes more than sales. It contributes data. Performance patterns, maintenance signals, energy use, uptime, customer behaviour, demand, and operational conditions all become part of a wider learning network. This is the shift behind the idea of becoming an intelligence company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Reactive to Preventive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most important changes has been the move from reacting to problems to identifying them earlier. Through V-CORE<\/strong>, Ice Rebus can monitor connected machines remotely and follow what is happening across the network. That changes the way maintenance and operations can be managed. Instead of waiting for a machine to stop and then responding, data can help identify changes in performance before they become larger issues. Instead of replacing parts purely according to a fixed calendar, maintenance decisions can increasingly be informed by real operating conditions. The result is a system designed around better visibility, higher uptime, and more efficient intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an important part of the direction Ice Rebus is taking. The intelligence layer is not only about keeping machines running. Ice Rebus now has around 1,700 machines worldwide<\/strong>, operating across more than 50 countries and six continents. At that scale, the value of connectivity changes. One machine provides information about one location. A global network begins to reveal patterns across markets, climates, customer behaviours, maintenance conditions, and demand. The more the network grows, the more Ice Rebus can learn from it. That knowledge can then return to product development, software, service, operations, and future market expansion. This is where the idea of a learning network becomes real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Sales Director, Vjeko Peri\u0161i\u0107<\/strong>, also took the stage during Innovate Split to present the commercial side of Ice Rebus. The conversation was focused less on selling individual machines and more on how Ice Rebus can grow together with the right partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That includes franchise partners, regional and enterprise operators, corporate groups, and strong location partners with the capacity to develop markets over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Ice Rebus, technology and business development are increasingly connected. A stronger operator creates a stronger location. A stronger location adds more useful data to the network. And a stronger network improves the system for everyone connected to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built in Split, Connected Globally<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Innovate Split was also a reminder of something important to us. Ice Rebus is building a global technology network from Split. The machines may operate across dozens of countries, but the engineering, software, operations, and strategic thinking behind the system remain closely connected to the city where the company is based. That combination of local development and global scale is one of the most important parts of the Ice Rebus story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
